CityHeart

The City Heart project is about creating a place in the city where citizens can delight in the most joyous moments they have shared. Within the kinetic sculpture’s pulsing memory fabric are images curated in real-time to form a digital mosaic of events. This sculpture serves to help city citizens take pride in their hometown, in their progress, and in their community. The sculpture’s memory fabric is designed as a mirrored surface that merges the present with digital event photographs from the recent past – together they evoke citizens to feel a sense of celebration for their city and its people. Additionally, city citizens will be incentivized to create more joyous community moments. This sculpture serves to raise awareness about community organization, interaction, and goals. New visitors to this kinetic sculpture will gain an immediate sense of the city, as it moves with its ever-changing moments of delight.
