Final Salute

Final Salute in F Major is a musical score in F Major for solo piano. This composition is unique in how it uses rhythm and pitch to create musical textures that narrate an astronaut’s final salute to their mothership; thus, creating a heartfelt interstellar farewell. Key musical elements of this piece focus on harmony that steps upward in rhythm and pitch toward a mid-point crescendo that marks the astronaut’s final salute. This significant moment then comes to an end as the music gradually resolves through a bitter-sweet goodbye marked by harmony that gently and steadily overtakes the melody until the two fuse into one sustained chord that creates the open-ended grand finale.
